About Us

Who We Are

Church of the Resurrection is a community worshipping with lives surrendered, nourished by Christ, serving in love, flourishing in His light.

We believe wholeheartedly that the Gospel is meant to be lived out in our day-to-day lives in community—Christ making a difference through us. We are part of the Anglican Diocese of the South (ADOTS), embracing the "ancient-future" vision of the Church: rooted in the apostolic faith handed down through the centuries, yet alive and active in the modern world.

At Resurrection, being on mission means being intentional about living lives in communion with each other, sharing life, sharing Christ, and sharing in service to our community.

What We Believe

The faith once delivered to the saints

Jesus Christ is Lord

The eternal Son of God, incarnate for our salvation, crucified, risen, and coming again in glory.

The Holy Trinity

One God in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—the foundation of all Christian faith and life.

Holy Scripture

The Old and New Testaments as the inspired Word of God, containing all things necessary for salvation.

The Nicene Creed

The ancient baptismal faith of the Church, confessing the apostolic teaching in its fullness.

Baptism & Eucharist

The two great Sacraments of the Gospel, by which we are incorporated into Christ and nourished in His Body.

The Communion of Saints

The whole company of the faithful, living and departed, united in Christ across time and eternity.

The Hope of Resurrection

The promise of bodily resurrection and eternal life in the world to come, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Church Catholic

One, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church, the Body of Christ on earth, called to unity and mission.

Our Worship

Anglo-Catholic distinctives

Reverent Liturgy

We worship using the historic liturgy of the Western Church, including sacred vestments, incense, bells, and chant. Every gesture, word, and silence is offered to God as an act of praise and adoration.

Historic Eucharistic Theology

We believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. The Mass is the central act of our worship, where heaven and earth meet, and we are united with Christ and all the saints in His one, eternal sacrifice.

Beauty as Evangelism

We believe that beauty draws the soul to God. Sacred art, music, architecture, and liturgy are not mere decoration—they are windows into the divine, inviting hearts to worship and wonder.

Prayer as Foundation

The Daily Office of Morning and Evening Prayer is the heartbeat of our common life. We join Christians throughout the world and across the ages in the ancient rhythms of psalmody, Scripture, and intercession.
