About

Our Priest

A Pastoral Greeting

Dear Friends in Christ,

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is my joy and privilege to serve as priest of Church of the Resurrection. When you walk through our doors, I hope you will find not only beautiful worship, but a community of sinners being made into saints—ordinary people learning to love God and neighbor in the midst of ordinary life.

Whether you are a lifelong Christian seeking deeper roots, someone exploring the faith for the first time, or a weary soul in need of rest, you are welcome here. The ancient faith of the Church is big enough to hold all your questions, sorrows, and hopes.

I would be honored to meet you, pray with you, and walk with you on the journey. Please do not hesitate to reach out.

Yours in Christ,
Fr. Cliff

Fr. Cliff

Fr. Cliff serves as priest at Church of the Resurrection in Clarksville, Tennessee. He is passionate about helping believers live out the Gospel in their day-to-day lives in community.

Fr. Cliff believes wholeheartedly that the Christian faith is meant to be lived in communion with one another—sharing life, sharing Christ, and sharing in service to our community. His pastoral heart is focused on the health of both soul and body in God's created order.

He is devoted to forming disciples, nurturing spiritual growth, and building a community of care where Christ makes a difference through His people.

Fr. Cliff recently presented on "Faithful and Functional: Health of Soul and Body in God's Created Order" at FORMED 2025: Flourishing Today at the Anglican Church of the Redeemer in Chattanooga.

Apostolic Succession

"As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you."

— John 20:21

The laying on of hands in ordination traces an unbroken chain from Christ himself through His apostles, through every generation of bishops, to the priest who serves this parish today. This apostolic succession is the Church's living memory—a continuous witness that the faith we profess is the same faith delivered once for all to the saints.

Fr. Cliff was ordained to the sacred priesthood by The Most Rev. Foley Thomas Beach, Archbishop and Primate of the Anglican Church in North America. Archbishop Beach's consecration on October 9, 2010, at Church of the Apostles in Atlanta, united multiple ancient lines of succession—through Canterbury, through the Nigerian church, and through the witness of the Global South.
